In this past year, numerous people have stumbled upon the forum or server as a result of some connection to Schizoid Arena or Xat.com, and, on the other hand, members of the forum have partaken in both of those communities. This is generally a good thing, as it allows for more people to discover each other and gives us some relief from the homogeny of information that can sometimes wash over a small community such as this.

That being said, there is no denying that the practice of doxxing rival users, or requesting/sending their personal information, has been rampant on both of the aforementioned communities. Of course, it has also become rampant on this one. The lack of a clear and obvious reaction on my behalf has cultivated a poor standard, and one which fails to adeptly condemn the practice of doxxing as a whole.

The principal thing which has changed since the acts of doxxing that occurred here in the past is that the subject of these attacks now tend to exist within the community itself rather than outside of it. In the past, sharing the personal information of particular individuals, most of whom were the subject of some rather thorough online trolling, did not come at the harm of any of our own members. And so I will say, once again: my own failure to take decisive action against this practice is to blame for its normalization. I should like to think that the members of this community, no matter how small, have matured enough so as to witness the development of other people's lives; and, over the course of time, we have seen people foster social connections with one another that should have a lasting impact, for better or for worse.

Going forward, any attempts to post or request a community member's personal information (without the express permission of said member) will be met with your instant riddance from this website and any of the platforms that accompany it. There has been a written rule against doxxing for a very long time, and as it stands, there will no longer be any excuse for its practice, regardless of seniority or rank.
