Why is this?

It's because priest care about all people no matter their age and for some reason people in the modern age assume anyone who cares about everyone including children must have malicious intent.
People then start looking for things that aren't there, like playing minecraft on peaceful mode and still placing down torches and looking over your shoulder, eventually they find things that seem out of place in the world generation and blame it on Herobrine.

Spoken like a pedophile defending other pedophiles. It's a widely known stereotype that catholic priests are pedophiles and molest little boys. If there weren't a grain of truth to that, it wouldn't exist to begin with nor be as well-known as it is. Sure, it's not all of them, probably not most of them, but it isn't an uncommon occurrence so pretending it's baseless is ludicrous. And for the record, Herobrine is real and to deny that is to deny the thousands of eyewitness accounts of him. You may as well just deny the holocaust.

Anyway, catholic priests are put into a position of trust when it comes to a vulnerable group such as children, often with little to no oversight/supervision. They are also sexually repressed due to the requirement that they be celibate. So ultimately their sexual impulses end up manifesting wherever there is opportunity for them to. Hence why priests are known to secretly be gay/sexually immoral with women/prostitutes on a non-dismissibly frequent basis. This just goes to show that catholicism is inherently flawed due to the addition of church tradition over the centuries that has no basis in anything but man's own doctrine.

All groups that hold power over kids have similar rates of assaulting kids, either marginally higher (like schoolteachers) or marginally lower (like protestant pastors). Being in a position of power makes you more likely to do shitty things. And there's nothing wrong with being celibate. It doesnt instantly turn you into a perv. The issue with catholic priests and child molestation isnt that they have crazy high rates which we can prove are inherently linked to catholic holy orders, its that higher ups covered up many of these instances. Even that isnt as black and white as the stereotype the media would want to sell you. The story of catholic priests and molestation is a cautionary tale about what happens when you value public image and maintaining power structures over individual safety, not some silver bullet that catholicism is evil and that holy orders should be changed.

My point is that I agree with Robert. Catholic priests aren't pedophiles. Like most so-called pedophiles, they are simply mischaracterized and misunderstood by the fake news media.
