I don't know of any books that are considered the definitive source for etiquette when texting.
I am thinking about things like it being best to have more than 8 words and less than 3 sentences for a first message to someone.
Another one would be sending a message to the same dozen people daily, to establish a reliable friend group.
How would someone even become an authority on this?

No. Text messaging is a free-for-all. Just stop before some idiot from these boards sends some more horseshit to your house.
