Because the powers-that-be stand to gain power and influence over the population as a result of said supposed shootings. The founding fathers provisioned the 2nd amendment for a reason, that being to make it much more difficult for a tyrannical state to bring to bear the full force of its oppression as it desires.

This is not a topic you kids should be joking about. This is a serious matter involving grief, loss, and devastation for the victims and loved ones of the victims in these shootings. Common sense gun control measures aren't "tyrannical" and have been proven to work to prevent violence of this nature. Look at Australia if you don't believe me. If you aren't joking, please seek some kind of psychiatric treatment.
