This is flat-out wrong. Clearly you have absolutely no understanding of the field of psychology, a serious and well-respected field that has been responsible for positive advances in the realm of the human consciousness. Without psychology, the mentally ill would still be locked in cages, get brutally beaten, abused, and electrocuted. People won't get the help and treatment that they need. What you would have us do is reverse a century of progress and take us back to the dark ages, spawning widespread suffering, no doubt. This is a dangerous path which can only be described as evil. Take a look at yourself and your convictions, Robert. Realize that the reason you're living a comfortable life with all of your base needs satisfied is the very society that you shit on and advocate for the reversal of important progressions both socially and scientifically which allow you to live such a life. I doubt you could handle living in the world you would have created were your will done.

Furthermore, you show a disturbing intolerance and bigotry in regards to religion as a whole. While I myself cannot say I adhere to a faith, I recognize that it is something that is a very personal and deeply important piece of people's lives. It's not simply nothing more than another hedonistic first-world comfort as you seem to say here in your post. Your viewpoint that you express here is very disrespectful and frankly tramples all over the billions of people worldwide who are religious in some form or another.

Next time you go to post something like this, please do us all a favor and think before you hit "Submit post." This was a very insensitive conversation that you have started, with half-baked points being outlined that clearly stem from a place of ignorance. I recommend you get educated. If you're still in school, start paying attention in class for Clyde's sake. If not, go read a book. After that, read another, and another, and so on. You will soon come to realize that you need to be more open-minded and less judgemental. Were I a moderator, I would lock this abomination of a conversation. Tsk tsk tsk.
