Bonobos are interesting because they represent one of the few primate societies that are "gynocratic".
If you want to understand what the goal of feminism is it is specifically to make society like the social structure of bonobos.
The core feature of a gynocracy is that everything is contextualized through sexual fitness.
The kinds of societies that are male dominant are meritocracies, kratocracies, and plutocracies. These are founded upon honor, power, and wealth.
I would never say that one way of doing things is better than another but you're going to have trouble if you're not at least aware of it.
We live in a world run by women and the lack of respect for honor, power and wealth in favor of sexual matters indicates that.
Bonobos are able to maintain their matriarchy because of their nomadic behavior similar to how easy it is for modern women to travel.
This makes it so that bonobos can be extremely selective with whom they mate giving them much more power over then men socially.
Just look at the way bonobos are described and it will be very clear what kind of world we are living in.
How gorillas will structure society, where there is one extremely powerful male that forms a harem around him. This is a kratocratic society.
Chimpanzees have been noted for their cultural sensitivity making them a candidate for pure plutocracy.
Orangutans are notable for developing flanges on their face which attract fertile females as they indicate maturity making it a pure meritocracy.
The advantage of being human is that we make use of all of these primate socializing strategies but as needed.
What is unfortunate is when one of these strategies becomes dominant. That is where we are with the bonobo strategy.

Unlike most primates (including humans) orangutans don't practice infanticide.
