Option to declare my Discord username in profile.

Option to declare my pronouns and sexuality in profile.

Suggestions to "declare (x) in my profile" will be ignored simply on the basis that there is already an "about me" field in the user settings which in turn appears on their profile. I am opposed to having dedicated fields to social media platforms for the following reasons:

  1. It supports another web platform that I do not necessarily trust, and inviting my users to visit that platform is morally unconscionable.
  2. This kind of functionality would require for me to assume which social media platforms are used by this website's community, if any, and I do not intend to cater to a particular audience of people, because it would help type the community on this website, which goes against the idea of a "topic-less free speech" forum.

Give moderators the ability to always see a user's signup email, on their profile or something of the sort. You can simply use the plugin that already exists with that functionality and extend that to moderators.

Not going to lie Brand, I think that's a bad idea, it should be privacy over everything else.

We need to be able to determine whether multiple accounts are the same person, or someone is being impersonated, or if people are using phony emails to sign up. The moderation team is vetted and trustworthy. It actually adds an extra layer of security for those of us who respond to the contact email, since we can verify whether someone is truly the owner of a given account and we can help them restore access.

Why not just set it up so you only can use one email account at a time and lock out any emails that aren't gmail, yahoo, aol, proton, ect.?

It is already set up so that accounts' emails are unique and can't be reused. Also, aol? Seriously? Do you WANT to have the site spammed to high heck?

Also, consider using a font that differentiates between an I (uppercase i) and a l (lowercase L) to avoid accounts appearing to have the same name.

You don't understand the difficulty of what you're asking John to implement here. The forum's font is hardcoded into the software which means it's next to impossible to change and doing so would break all forms of backwards compatibility with every other esoForum. In short, this is not something we can just go and do with any measure of ease. The reasoning behind changing the font is unjustifiable anyways considering I have never seen impersonations of this nature. Indeed, I have yet to see any actual impersonations occur period. Frankly the difference between an uppercase I and a lowercase L are clear as day to me. In short, this is unnecessary and also technically very difficult if not impossible. Also who are we, discord? Changing your service's font is absurd.

Please improve my monitor's screen resolution; it is too low. I am sure there is some way you can go about implementing this in the code somehow.

This can be arranged, good sir. We can add this as a setting in the settings page. Thanks for your suggestion!

"Hardcoded"? All it takes is a line of CSS to change the font. WTF are you talking about? And how is it going to "break" backwards compatibility? You are speaking nonsense right now.

This is a perfectly valid concern. I have been working on an Attachments plugin (which would let users "attach" both images and other files to their posts) for a few weeks now, and hope to unveil it within the following months.

Thank you admin, very cool!

Dude, do you not know anything about how CSS and fonts work? After asking John Mosley in his discord server, I got further clarification as to how this forum handles fonts. To BrandBox and mosley, I apologize for my obliviousness.

being able to mention users by @ might be helpful
