The nature of everything that exists is pure. Everything is one.
Conventional reality is a projection.
Our nondualistic mind distorts reality. We believe we are fundamentally impure. This idea is the cause of all diseases of body and mind. Our mind is pure. The ego-mind tries to project impurities on top of this. These impure projections are momentary.
The sky allows the coming and going of clouds, but this does not make clouds a permanent characteristic of the sky. A similar relationship exists between the mind and the ego. The nonduality nature of our mind has been and always will be pure.
We have to recognize that these impurities are temporary and that they can be removed. They are simply energy.
Oh, how original. Spare me the hippie mumbo jumbo. You're just spouting off some new-age nonsense you read on a mindfulness blog. I bet you actually believe some of that stuff. People like you are so easily manipulated by these feel-good platitudes. It's sad, really.

Radiance? Light? What are we, in a self-help seminar? Keep believing that nonsense. It's sure to get you far in life.

You can talk all you want about light and understanding, but the world isn't some warm and fuzzy place where everything makes sense. It's cruel, unfair, and chaotic. If you can't see that, you're just delusional.

the world is not cruel. there are people who do cruel things, but those people are not cruel in nature

Really? You're either extremely naive, or just plain delusional. People are inherently cruel. It's a part of being human. We're driven by greed, jealousy, and selfishness. We've been doing horrible things to each other since the dawn of civilization. You think a few platitudes are going to change that? Wake up and smell the coffee, pal.

did you read my initial post? yes, the dualistic mind *distorts* reality in this way. inside of us, there exists these impurities.
the point is that the *fundamental* nature of our mind is pure
The tripartite mind (the id, ego and 'superego') seems to be a universal truth according to most schools of human psychology and I find this to be particularly interesting.
