Pebble Copper Deposit

The world's second largest copper deposit is in Bristol Bay Alaska and 100% claimed by a mining company called Northern Dynasty Minerals.
They purchased the land decades ago but have not been able to do any mining because the environmental protection agency will not permit them.
This is all while copper is reaching all time high prices and the demand has also never been higher likely since 1000BC at the peak of the bronze age.
To give perspective on how much is being locked up in the earth because a dozen retards are afraid some fish will get sick 100 miles away from the mine there is about 60 billion pounds of copper in the pebble deposit and at the current market price of about $5 per pound that's a quarter trillion dollars worth of copper.
The most critical thing anyone could do if they are looking for some great purpose in life would be to hold the NDM territory with your life so that they can begin mining in earnest without having to worry about a corrupt government destroying the world economy because they feel entitled to some fish.

yeah, ends up being worth about $300 billion and the price of copper keeps going up as demand is increasing and the difficulty with getting mining permits gets harder
and that's the raw material value, that doesn't even go into mentioning how much more valuable all of that copper would be to the rest of the economy.
It's incredibly fundamental to the economy and if there isn't a good supply of copper everything will fall apart soon.
If it's rising to all time highs that means it has never been worse for the global economy.

The global copper production will need to double within the next couple decades to keep up with new demand and frankly it makes sense to make the attempt.

I'm not impressed.

Can you talk about your dick again, that's more hot

This is like the most critical thing for the global economy and literally no one cares.
Fuck.
